Each film explores haptic knowledge in an auto-ethnographic performance through touch. The universal ‘condition’ of love, the notion of beauty and truth in Western Art and philosophy, is playfully re-imagined in the film’s four cycles of intimate and fugitive images. A complex, visual narrative emerges when the artists negotiate the themes of individuality, other, the erotic, power and materiality in colour and gesture.
‘Found’ Sound’ location Lisbon, Portugal: Museu Calouste Gulbenkian – Orange, Feira da Ladra (Flea Market) – Purple, Café A Brasileria – Grey and a Courtyard, Largo das Olarias, Graça – Green.
